November 21st marks World Television Day, commemorating the date on which the first World Television Forum was held in 1996. The day recognises that television plays a major role in presenting different issue that affect people. Alongside World Press Freedom Day; World Telecommunication Day; and World Development Information Day, it has become a less recognised, but equally as important day of observation.
